Simple Planning

For clients who seek to ensure that their assets pass to the people that they want a Simple Estate Plan provides a good starting point. With a Will based estate plan clients can choose who their beneficiaries are and what percentage of assets will pass to each one.

At Lowcountry Legacy Law Firm we will also provide a Durable Power of Attorney, a Healthcare Power of Attorney, a Personal Property Memorandum, and a HIPAA Authorization Form with every Simple Estate Plan. These supporting documents will help clients have the peace of mind that they will be cared for by the people that they love and rely on in the event of incapacity.

Advanced Planning

Our Advanced Estate Plans are centered around a Revocable Living Trust. With Trust based planning clients can protect their beneficiaries from any creditors or predators. Clients can also protect their surviving spouses by including remarriage provisions in their Trust. Trust based plans can also feature specific directions about how money should be used to provide for a client's care in the event they become incapacitated.

With Advanced Planning we will also provide clients with a Pour Over Will, a Durable Power of Attorney, a Healthcare Power of Attorney, a Personal Property Memorandum, and a HIPAA Authorization Form. These supporting documents will be included with every Advanced Estate Plan.

If you decide to move forward with Advanced Planning we will provide you with instructions on how to title your assets in order to provide you with the peace of mind that your beneficiaries will be able to avoid the Probate process.

Legacy Planning

Legacy Planning is the premier level of planning at Lowcountry Legacy Law Firm. If you decide to move forward with a Legacy Plan we will design a completely customized estate plan to meet all of your specific needs by adding personalized provisions to maximze each of the assets in your portfolio. We can also assist you with providing asset and divorce protection to multiple generations of beneficiaries.

The final step of the Legacy Planning process is working with Alex to draft your own Personal Lette that allows you to pass on more than assets. The Personal Letter (or Purposeful Letter) is meant to leave a lasting legacy to your loved ones by explaining your history and the significance of certain assets that you are leaving behind. We will work with you every step of the way to ensure that your Personal Letter does not conflict with any of the provisions of your Legacy Estate Plan.
